Make the whole world aware of the beauty of our dear country and enhance and promote Burundian cultural and musical diversity.

The RTBB has 4 essential missions which are: Inform, educate, cultivate and entertain.

It is based on 3 points, namely:

- Support government actions.

- Make known the beauty of our country Burundi.

- Mobilize, train and encourage our listeners and those who follow us on our visual channel to play their roles, each as far as they are concerned, for the integral and sustainable development of the country in general and the population in particular.

The idea of creating RTBB was born from a Burundian artist NSENGIYUMVA Minani Félicien in 1991. This public service audio visual company which received legal authorization from the National Communication Council (CNC) on May 10, 2021, belongs to the FEMIDEJABAT Foundation of the SAFE BURUNDI family
