LE PROJET ENCYCLOPÉDIE DE LA MUSIQUE BURUNDAISE TOUJOURS EN VIGUEUR !
Le 22 Avril de cette année 2025, le Représentant Légal de l’Association Unisson des Artistes du Burundi et de la Diaspora ( UNABUDI ) et Président et Administrateur Général de la FONDATION FEMIDEJABAT ( FOFE ), Nsengiyumva Minani Félicien, en compagnie du Coordinateur du Comité Scientifique de Rédaction de l’Encyclopédie de la Musique Burundaise Joseph BUTOYI, ont été reçus en audience par le Secrétaire Permanent chargé de la Culture au sein du Ministère des Affaires de l’EAC, de la Jeunesse, des Sports et de la Culture Monsieur Jacob RIZIKI. L’objet de cette audience était de revisiter ensemble l’état d’avancement de ce projet et d’étudier ensemble les voies et solutions pour la concrétisation de ce projet.
(A ce propos, sachez que le projet Encyclopédie de la Musique Burundaise se trouve sur la liste des activités du Ministère, devant figurer dans le Plan de Travail par Budget Annuel (PTBA) durant l’exercice budgétaire 2026-207).
Pour que ce projet qui est fondamentalement utile pour les Burundais en général, et la jeunesse en particulier, aujourd’hui, demain et longtemps après plusieurs générations, puisse devenir une réalité, la FONDATION FEMIDEJABAT requiert la contribution de tout un chacun, burundais vivant aussi bien dans le Pays que ceux de la diaspora ; nationaux et étrangers, des institutions publiques et privées, des organisations nationales et internationales, etc.
La sauvegarde de l’art et de la culture contribue à la pérennisation du berceau de l’humanité.
Que Dieu nous pousse à tous vouloir y contribuer !

THE BURUNDIAN MUSIC ENCYCLOPEDIA PROJECT IS STILL IN EFFECT!
On April 22 of this year, 2025, the Legal Representative of the Unisson Association of Artists of Burundi and the Diaspora (UNABUDI) and President and General Administrator of the FEMIDEJABAT FOUNDATION (FOFE), Félicien NSENGIYUMVA MINANI, along with the Coordinator of the Scientific Editorial Committee of the Encyclopedia of Burundian Music, Joseph BUTOYI, were received in audience by the Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Economic, Social, Cultural, and Cultural Affairs (EAC), Youth, Sports, and Culture Mr. Jacob RIZIKI. The purpose of this audience was to jointly review the progress of this project and to study avenues and solutions for its implementation. (In this regard, please note that the Burundian Music Encyclopedia project is on the Ministry’s list of activities to be included in the Annual Budget Work Plan (APWB) for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.)
For this project, which is fundamentally useful for Burundians in general, and youth in particular, today, tomorrow, and long after several generations, to become a reality, the FEMIDEJABAT FOUNDATION requires the contribution of everyone, Burundians living in the country as well as those in the diaspora; nationals and foreigners, public and private institutions, national and international organizations, etc.
The preservation of art and culture contributes to the sustainability of the cradle of humanity.

The Burundian Music Encyclopedia project continues to progress as a vital cultural initiative, aiming to document and preserve the nation’s musical heritage for current and future generations. Its planned integration into the Ministry’s Annual Budget Work Plan for 2026–2027 demonstrates a strong institutional commitment, yet the project’s success also depends on the collective efforts of individuals, organizations, and communities both within Burundi and abroad.
Preserving culture requires the same kind of careful, informed engagement that we see in other areas of human development, where people seek reliable knowledge before making decisions, such as learning about the differences between Tadalafil and other ED medications to better understand available options.
In both cases, whether in health or culture, informed choices and collaborative contributions ensure continuity, resilience, and meaningful impact over time. By supporting initiatives like this encyclopedia, Burundians and their partners can help secure a legacy that enriches identity while inspiring global recognition of their cultural heritage.
